Few Words about Zakinthos
Zakynthos is the third largest of the Ionian Islands, located on the west coast of Greece, 9,5 miles northwest of the Peloponnese, 8,5 nautical miles from Cephalonia and about 300km from Athens.
Zakynthos, also called Zante, is a multicultural island and millions of tourists have selected it for their summer holidays over the last years. The reason is really simple. The excellent weather conditions, the picturesque villages in the mountainous area and the unspoilt sandy beaches.
Our guests shouldn’t miss the famous Shipwreck (navagio) Beach, the magical blue caves, the Marathonisi Island, the Venetian Castle on Bohalli Hill, the cosmopolitan town and the historical churches of the island.
Laganas is a popular tourist resort in Zante, set on the east coast of the island. Mostly a youth destination but also for families, Laganas offers a wonderful sandy beach, probably the best οn the whole island, with crystal clear waters, fully organised with all amenities you may need like sun-beds and umbrellas, water sports, beach bars, and fish tavernas as well typical Greek restaurants.
In the center of Laganas you will find a large variety of restaurants serving from Greek traditional cuisine to international specialities.
The lively nightlife of the area boasts many bars playing that latest summer hits and serving all kinds of cocktails and drinks.
Also Laganas offers a number of gift shops, jewellery shops and supermarkets.
All of the businesses offer friendly and helpful service.
The area is easily reachable just 8km far from Zakynthos town and transforms Laganas into the ideal spot for sightseeing and shopping. A regular bus service runs daily during the summer months.
